Hyundai Motor Group, South Korea’s largest automaker and a global leader in mobility solutions, has signed an exclusive engine oil supply agreement with Shell Philippines, introducing custom-formulated lubricants tailored for Hyundai vehicles to service centers across the country.

Several industry sources reported on June 16 that Hyundai Motor Philippines signed a deal with Shell’s local affiliate to supply both fully synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants tailored for Hyundai engines. The agreement aims to enhance engine performance and ensure consistent service quality across Hyundai’s authorized service network in the Philippines.

The newly introduced products were engineered to maximize the longevity, efficiency, and overall performance of Hyundai’s internal combustion engines. Hyundai expects the collaboration to elevate customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term brand loyalty in the local market.

Hyundai and Shell have maintained a global partnership since 2005, jointly developing and supplying engine oils. Their collaboration expanded in 2014 into motorsports through the World Rally Championship (WRC), and in 2019, Kia Europe launched “Original Engine Oil” in partnership with Shell. The companies have since extended their cooperation into eco-friendly mobility, including electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs).

The Philippines deal marks another step in Hyundai and Shell’s ongoing efforts to deepen their partnership and reinforce brand trust through localized, high-quality service offerings.
