Several media outlets reported on May 7 that LG Electronics has opened a new corporate office for its Philippine sales subsidiary, relocating to a premium office tower in Pasig, the economic heart of Metro Manila. The move marks LG’s first relocation in the country in 35 years and reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia.
According to Manila Standard, the inauguration ceremony was held on April 22 at the One Paseo building. The event was attended by Jae-seung Kim, LG’s Regional Representative for Asia, Nak-hyun Sung, Managing Director of LG Philippines, and local government officials.
LG originally entered the Philippine market in late 1988, establishing its sales office on Francisco Legaspi Street in Maybunga, Pasig. After more than three decades at the same location, the company has now moved to a new, modern space.
The new headquarters spans the 15th and 16th floors and features an open office layout designed to foster employee collaboration. The space includes a modern auditorium for seminars and presentations, a staff cafeteria, and a showroom to experience LG’s latest products. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to fill the space, offering views of nearby mountain ranges.
To celebrate the opening, LG hosted a variety of events for employees and community members. Activities included a photo booth, a DIY pouch-making station, and complimentary beverages from LG refrigerators. A live music performance in collaboration with popular radio station Wish 107.5 featuring well-known local artists was also held.
Managing Director Nak-hyun Sung stated, “This new office embodies LG’s commitment to innovation and aligns with our global vision of delivering Smart Life Solutions. It honors our legacy while serving as a launchpad for future growth.”
