Choi Byung-oh, Chairman of South Korea’s fashion company Hyungji Group, recently visited Taiwan to meet with local distribution partners and textile material companies under the group’s global business division, Hyungji Global. The visit underscores his commitment to on-site global management and aims to strengthen Hyungji Global’s local operations while accelerating the global expansion of affiliated companies.

On April 17, Chairman Choi met with representatives from Kingbon, the Taiwanese distribution partner of Hyungji Global’s golfwear brand Castelbajac. During the meeting, he was briefed on the current status of local operations and visited golf course pro shops where Castelbajac products are sold to gauge consumer reactions directly.

Kingbon, a leading fashion distribution company in Taiwan, has partnered with Hyungji Global since 2018. Through this partnership, Castelbajac golfwear has been launched in major Taiwanese department stores such as SOGO and Hanshin. Remarkably, the brand ranked among the top three in golfwear sales within just a month of its market entry, demonstrating strong consumer reception.

Currently, Castelbajac products are available in eight department stores and three outlet stores across Taiwan through Kingbon, as well as via online channels and golf course pro shops.

This meeting marked the first official collaboration between the two companies since Hyungji Global’s rebranding. Both parties agreed to strengthen their partnership and actively work toward expanding Castelbajac’s distribution network in Taiwan.

Chairman Choi also visited Lealea Enterprise Group (Lealea Group), a leading Taiwanese textile manufacturer. Lealea Group produces a wide range of textile materials and raw fibers used in both apparel and industrial applications, and is also engaged in overseas exports.

This visit is expected to lay the foundation for continued collaboration, including potential joint efforts to enhance the functionality of Hyungji Global’s product lines.

A Hyungji Global representative stated, “By hearing directly from local partners and observing consumer responses, we were able to reconfirm our competitiveness in the global market. We will continue to expand our global reach through active partnerships with local companies, with Hyungji Global at the center of our overseas strategy.”
